Danger Island was founded in 2024 by television producer and director Sam Grocott. A new production company, born out of a realisation that the world of visual content is changing rapidly, much faster than most of the industry can keep up with. 

People are watching more content than ever before, but the way they’re doing this is vastly different to 5 years ago. For over a decade, Sam has been producing, directing and editing some of the biggest (and most challenging) shows on TV. Helping to ensure the success of programmes across every genre; from convincing members of the public to strip off to millions whilst casting the first series of Naked Attraction, to escorting pampered celebrities through jungle backwaters in the dead of night whilst directing Celebrity Race Across the World.

He’s directed and produced iconic shows for American audiences, like Gold Rush, the highest rating Discovery show of all time, and Extreme Airports: Africa. And as Series Producer has helped develop and create award winning series such as India’s Ultimate Warrior. As well as producing and directing Married at First Sight, Hunted, Celebrity Hunted, Rich House Poor House, Parole, Geordie Shore, The Undateables, Bad Skin Clinic, Ninja Warrior, Saving Britain’s Wildlife and many others.

Throughout the years this breadth of experience has been drawn upon to create commercials and branded content with TV quality story-telling and broadcast standard style.
